True Success:
Often a question I get asked or hear being asked. What is True Success? What does it look like? Where can I get it?

Exercise 1:
The first little exercise I would encourage you to do is take a moment, right now, grab a pen and a piece of paper, close your eyes, have a think about what true success looks and feels like to you.
What would you have?
Where would you be?
Ok are you done?

True success comes from seeking God and acknowledging Him as supreme to the exclusion of all idols.

Dear children, keep away from anything that might take the place of God in your hearts.. 1 John 5:21

What are those idols (if any) in your life, that take the place of God in your heart?

Exercise 2:

Go on, take a few moments and write them down, is the tv, your music, your facebook page….etc?
Have you written down some of those idols, (did anyone else need an extra page or just me!)

So how do we find this so called True Success? Well Mathew gives an idea in 6:33, when Jesus says

“Seek the kingdom of God and live righteously and He will give you everything you need”.

If we live by the standard set by God’s word, we will be blessed and also find genuine contentment.

If we start seeking the kingdom of God, Living our daily lives by his word, we will truly know success. Keep your list from your first exercise and start living by Gods word and see what blessings will come your way

Joyful are the people of integrity who follow instruction of the Lord
Joyful are those who obey His laws and search for him with all their hearts.

True success is always found in letting God be the king of your life, all else will fade away. Don’t be a fool and pursue your own way…. Faithfully follow God’s way…
