When Did Christianity Begin?

It is all too common to hear people talk about the bible as being a book of fairy tales, full of contradiction etc etc. how often have I heard that Christianity stands or falls on the authority of the bible!!

Let me ask the question “ When did Christianity begin?”. Was it the day 3,000 people were saved on the day of Pentecost or did it have to wait until the bible was completed it almost 200 years later.

Me, I believe the bible is the word of God. I was not saved by the bible, I became a Christian by the power of God, reading and studying the bible simply explains, what happened to me and how to follow the way of Jesus.

Logical arguments will not change or convince a sinful people. It is the power of God and the Holy Spirit working in their hearts that will do that. My faith does not depend on human knowledge. If someone brought me evidence that disapproved the bible and the skeleton of Jesus was found it would not shake my faith in the slightest…

1 Corinthians 2:4-5…. and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men[a] but in the power of God.

A Christians faith should not rest in the wisdom of man but in the power of God. Early Christians were not saved by the bible but by the spoken word, they were saved by hearing a spoken message by those who walked and talked with Jesus.

We will never convince anyone of the bible while they love their sin, and all you have to do is look at the state of the world today to see how much people love their sin…
