A Prayer against Corona Virus

Psalm 56:9 tells us, “The very moment I call to you for a Father’s help the tide of the battle turns and my enemies flee.

Yet there is great fear surrounding the threat of covid-19, we can rest assured that we have a Father in Heaven who is with us every minute of every day, especially in these days with the spread of the coronavirus

Holy God, you are bigger than this corona virus, and we are declaring in the mighty name of Jesus that these numbers will start decreasing. You are Jehovah Rapha “the God who heals” We are praying that your will be done and all who have this virus are healed. We stand on Your word and live in faith and not in fear.

Give wisdom to our government and health leaders as they deal with this. Guide them in knowing what to do, when to do it and the steps to take. But Lord we do not rely only on that. We are prayerful, looking to you, knowing that you are the God who heals

We stand on Your word and live in faith and not in fear. Worry and fear are not of Your heart. 1 John 4 reminds us that perfect love casts out all fear, and we pray Your perfect love upon the hearts of all those who are burdened with fear of this virus.

We pray for those who are caring for the sick. We pray that You would be their source of rest and their source of hope in such overwhelming times. We also pray that they may not fall ill. Father place a hedge of protection against coronavirus and help those who are giving to be protected as they nurse others back to health.

We place at the Throne of the Almighty such fears and cast them upon You ……1 Peter 5:7

In Jesus name, Amen
