As I write 658,327 people have died from hunger so far this year. A child dies from hunger every 10 seconds

This is the pandemic we should all be talking about as we already have the vaccine, it’s called food.

“The world’s hunger is getting ridiculous, There is more fruit in rich man’s shampoo than in a poor man’s plate.”

There are people who will starve to death today. There are people who have to eat chocolate every day. We don’t truly understand how blessed we are in Ireland. As Christians, we are to feed the poor and help people who are in need. Feeding the needy is part of serving one another and as we serve others we are showing God’s love.

When you go to the shops and you happen to see a homeless man why not buy him something to eat? Think about it we go to the shop seeking to buy things we don’t need like junk food.

Why not use our wealth to help someone that really needs it. God will often provide for people through us. Let’s pray for more love and compassion for the needy.

A generous person will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to the poor….. Proverbs 22:9

Let’s think of different ways so we can end world hunger. We can start right where we are.
