    All generation’s experiences change. I sense we are in the middle of genuinely profound change, the kind of change that happens only every few hundred years. As a fifty-year-old, I was born into the Irish culture that could plausibly still be called Christian. Yet, with the ever-changing culture, it will not be too long in the future where the unchurched will outnumber the churched.

  • We Have To Move From Helping The Poor To Letting The Poor Help

    Even though good intentions abound, we often seek to work for the poor or work with the poor and I know by doing this we suffocate local resourcefulness. By doing this we can further imbed poverty, that is the form of poverty that results when our friends already feel inadequate

    With everything that is happening in the world today, it is pretty easy to be quick to judge or to speak evil against some of the current world leaders such as Biden, Putin, Gates, Schwab or Trudeau.

    Education creates dreams for many kids. During this pandemic, schools closed, yet for many in the western world, education continued online. But what about those where the web was not available. What about countries like Myanmar where not only covid hit but also civil war broke, and many had to flee their homes, their towns! The journey to end poverty starts with a child. Don’t Let the Light of Education Be Extinguished. Give us the price of a coffee, please.

  • End Poverty

    We should not just be stating our feelings about poverty, suffering etc. We should be working tirelessly to build the Kingdom of Heaven of grace, peace, kindness in all our communities across the globe. We should remind ourselves that poverty is man-made and can be wiped out if only we change not only our thinking but our actions in how we respond.
