God will not allow a storm to come into your life, unless He has a purpose. God doesn’t send them. Although it may seem like a difficult time, this storm will help you grow. During the times of trial, we often don’t see this, but God has a way. God will bring out the potential we were unaware, that we possessed such.
Humour me for a minute; Think of a tiny apple seed. How many do you get in every apple? The potential of that seed is to grow into a tree producing more apples over a long period of time. But nothing happened until that seed is planted. That’s right it gets shoved down into the cold, dark, damp soil (not a nice place, is it) and left there, it gets some water, some sun and within a week or so it bursts through the earth, this tiny apple seed, with a new determination and becomes something greater……
During a time of trial, don’t sit around contemplating your disappointments, or mull over what didn’t work. Self pity will put a stop to your growth. Rather in times of trail remember what God has said:
“I will never leave you, nor forsake you”… Hebrews 13:5
God will never leave us, never forsake us (forsake is to renounce or turn your back on completely)
God cannot do this…. Why? Well, After all you are His creation, You are made in His image and likeness.. and “God saw all that he had made and it was very good” .. gen 2:31. So did we really listen when God says “I will never leave you nor forsake you” or do we remain in our own fear, worry and feeling of loneliness. Do we say something different after hearing God speak this into our lives?.
Take a minute and really let the verse sink in…
“I will never leave you, nor forsake you”… Hebrews 13:5
Don’t give into your fear, your feeling of worthlessness. You are not some product straight of a factory assembly line. You were not created by some random chance.. You were designed individually by the master craftsman… That makes you priceless & worthy of respect..
To finish up, during your time of trial:
Wait with a knowing that God is with you
Wait with a confidence that God will never turn his back on you
God wants the rest of your life to be the most fulfilling, the most rewarding…..
Moses was 80 years old before God asked him to lead his people out of Israel
God is on your side… Rise up, look at the storm, and say, I am a champion, I am a warrior, go out and learn to dance in the rain and you will overcome your storm….
